Theodore Livingston (ur. 1962, Nowy Jork, Nowy Jork, USA)
Postać, której oficjalnie przypisuje się wynalezienie i spopularyzowanie skreczu, czyli techniki wydobywania dźwięku poprzez dynamiczne ruchy igły gramofonowej na płycie winylowej. Theodore Livingston, dzięki dwójce starszych braci, złapał bliski kontakt z rodzącą się w Nowym Jorku kulturą hip-hop. Bracia Mean Gene i Disco Bee tworzyli w latach 70. duet L Brothers i często współpracowali z legendarnym Grandmasterem Flashem. Już jako nastolatek Theodore mocno interesował się muzyką i pod nieobecność braci samodzielnie próbował grać na ich sprzęcie. W szkoleniu techniki, młodemu Livingstonowi wydatnie pomagał Flash, który był pod wielkim wrażeniem zdolności Theodora do bezbłędnego upuszczania igły w odpowiednim miejscu płyty winylowej (zabieg nosi nazwę needle drop).
Pomimo sprzeciwu Gene’a, Grandmaster wprowadzał młodego ucznia w świat coraz bardziej skomplikowanych technik didżejskich, a nawet zapraszał go na scenę. Theodore, stojący za gramofonami na kracie od mleka, szybko stał się ulubieńcem nowojorskiej publiczności. W lecie 1975, w wieku zaledwie 13 lat, zdolny młodzieniec przypadkowo dokonał odkrycia, które na trwałe zapisało jego pseudonim w historii hip-hopu. Zmuszony przez matkę do ściszenia głośno grającej muzyki, podszedł do gramofonu i ręcznie zatrzymał płytę, która w tym momencie wydała bardzo intrygujący dźwięk. Theodore, zafascynowany niecodziennym efektem, spróbował powtórzyć niespotykane brzmienie i poświecił wiele czasu na eksperymentowanie z nim, poruszając do przodu i tyłu odtwarzane winyle. Wielu didżejów znało wcześniej charakterystyczny dźwięk skreczu – słyszeli go często w słuchawkach podczas szukania konkretnego breaku na płycie. Grand 
Wizard Theodore był jednak pierwszym didżejem, który włożył w skreczowanie rytm i dzięki któremu skrecze wydostały się poza odsłuchy.
Młody adept turntablismu zaprezentował innowacyjną technikę szerszej publiczności, dostarczając podczas imprez często kilkuminutowych pokazów szurania igłą o płytę. Pozytywny oddźwięk na zaproponowane przez niego brzmienie przekroczył najielsze oczekiwania, a skrecz na stałe wpisał się w historię nie tylko hip-hopu, ale całej muzyki rozrywkowej. I choć w późniejszym czasie wielu innych turntablistów znacznie udoskonaliło technikę używania gramofonu jako instrumentu, Theodore jest niekwestionowanym twórcą i pierwszym promotorem odkrywczego wykorzystania skreczu. Artyście przypisuje się także doprowadzenie do perfekcji sztuki needle drop. Na przełomie lat 70. i 80. Grand Wizard był jednym z najpopularniejszych didżejów w Nowym Jorku. Artysta był członkiem grupy Grand Wizard Theodore And The Fantastic Five, w skład której wchodzili także Dot-A-Rock (właśc. Darryl Mason), Master Rob (Robin Strong), Prince Whipper Whip (James Whipper), Ruby Dee (Rubin Garcia) i Waterbed Kev (Kevin Strong). Załoga przeszła do historii dzięki słynnej bitwie z Cold Crush Brothers, utrwalonej w klasycznym filmie „Wild Style” (reż. Charlie Ahearn, 1982). Pionierski didżej włożył również duży wkład w brzmienie ścieżki dźwiękowej do sławnego dokumentu o kulturze hip-hop.
Grand Wizard odzyskał utraconą w połowie lat 80. popularność dzięki krytykom muzycznym, którzy w latach 90. zaczęli silnie podkreślać istotny wkład artysty w rozwój hip-hopu. W 1998 r. Theodore zdobył prestiżowe wyróżnienie DMC Technics DJ Hall Of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award. Wśród licznych nagród został uhonorowany m.in. odznaczeniem za Życiowe Osiągnięcia przez międzynarodową organizację turntablistyczną ITF (International Turntablists Federation). Artysta regularnie bierze udział w seminariach poświęconych historii i technice didżeingu.
ZULU NATION POLSKA w 2007 roku zorganizowało w Warszawskim klubie Harlem, jedyną w Polsce ekskluzywna imprezę, na której grał GWT.
